Is luxury vinyl plank really waterproof?
The planks are. Standing water can still reach the subfloor through seams over time, so wipe up spills, but everyday kitchen and bath moisture is exactly what LVP is built for.
Can it go over my existing floor?
Floating LVP often can go over a flat, sound floor, which saves the tear-out. Our installer checks clearance at doors and appliances first; reviewers mention exactly that conversation.
Does it look like real wood?
Modern LVP uses high-resolution prints and embossed textures that follow the grain. Bring a sample home and compare it with your hardwood in your own light.
